Anna Wessel, 37, passed away on November 13, 2023, in Oregon City, Oregon.
Anna Wessel was born on June 16, 1986 in Clovis, New Mexico.
Anna graduated from Independence High School in Glendale, Arizona and went on to earn a Bachelor of Arts degree from Brigham Young University in Rexburg, Idaho in Music Performance on the Bassoon.
Anna was best known for her extraordinary ability on the piano. She was gifted in accompaniment and served in her community, schools, church and specialty choirs. She had amazing sight reading skills and was able to play virtually anything put in front of her. She also loved sharing her gift by teaching others. She was loved by all she worked with.
Anna managed the Geeks & Games store in Oregon City, Oregon. She grew their game events and pulled the players in. She was loved by the customers for her enthusiasm and energy.
Anna was a kind, loving and devoted mother. Her children were always her first priority.
Anna drew people to her with her storytelling. She could bring you right into the story and have you laughing until you cried. She was confident and intelligent. She had a gift to see into the heart of those around her and know how to help.
Anna is survived by children Rachel (16), Austin (15), Samantha (11) and Alexis (10). Parents: Brad and Linda Hurst. Siblings: Christine Winward, Julie Hurst, Bree Wilcox, Eric Hurst, Emily Hopper, Janet Fish and Micki Lyn Hurst.
The service for Anna Wessel will be held on Friday, November 24, at 11am at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints located at 8331 Cason Rd, Gladstone, Oregon.
Viewing will be on Friday, November 24, from 9am to 10:30am at the same location.
