Antonio Fraioli

Antonio (Tony) Fraioli was born in Arce, Frosinone Province, Italy, on October 28, 1923, to John Batista and Assunta Fraioli. He came to America in 1947, lived in Providence, Rhode Island, and became a U.S. citizen in 1952. In 1955 he returned to Italy to marry Emma Cimadomo. They moved to Modesto, California, on July 4, 1956, where they lived for 59 years and raised one son and two daughters. He worked as a carpenter building custom homes for 27 years until he retired in 1985. In 2015 Tony and Emma moved to Portland, OR, to be near their daughters, their children, and three great-grandsons. Tony passed away peacefully surrounded by his family after a brief illness on September 19, 2016, in Clackamas, OR. Tony was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers: Pasqualle (Pat), Rocco, and Lauterio (Larry), and two sisters: Maria Ciolfi and Teresa Corsetti. He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Emma, his son John (Colleen) Fraioli, his daughters AnnMarie Piantoni and Susan (Danny) Day, five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. A funeral service will be held October 3, 2016, at Mountain View Cemetery in Oregon City, OR.
