Everett Lee Barnes

June 11, 1938 - October 7, 2016

Everett “Lee” Barnes 78, Passed away on October 7th while in hospice care in Oregon City. He was the beloved husband of Marcia Ann Barnes. The two had met at Precision Castparts, where they both worked, and sparks flew. From the day they met, they were never apart at work or at home. They were married 42 years. Even when they retired, they had to do that together in early 2001 after Lee put in 28 plus years. Lee was born on June 11, 1938 in Yreka California but lived the majority of his life in Oregon. As a young boy, Lee lived on a farm where he discovered his love for gardening that lasted all of his life. He would always be outside working in his garden and doing yard work. If any of the neighbors needed any gardening tips, Lee was there to help. Before Precision Castparts Lee had an impressive military career that started in 1953 at the ripe old age of 15, when he joined the Oregon National Guard. From there he joined the Air Force active duty, and during the Vietnam era served in the Army. The last few years of his military career were served in the Army Reserves, where in 1981 he retired with the rank of Master Sergeant. Lee is survived by his daughters, Teresea, Cheryl, Lori, Patricia and Carla; his sons, Lloyd and Ronald; 12 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren; his older brother Dan and younger brother Glenn. Lee will be remembered for his love of his family, and his devotion to the military and his country.
