Janet Faye Adams
February 11, 1942 - January 13, 2022
It is with a heavy heart that we share the news of our Mother’s passing. Janet Adams left this world on Thursday, the 13th of January, with family by her side. Those of you that were blessed to know her, know that she loved each of us with all of her heart. Her smile and laughter could brighten even the darkest day. Janet had long been a fixture in our community and was the woman that everyone called “Mom”, because she treated everyone as if they were her own. Janet was truly the strongest woman; a lung cancer survivor and someone who faced every battle with unmatched bravery. Janet felt at home behind the bar - she was, without any question, the best bartender around. Janet loved to cook, write poetry, listen to good music and catching up with her girlfriends over a hot cup of coffee. She loved her annual camping trips on Detroit Lake and also spending time with her family at the Oregon coast. Janet is survived by her children: Tammy Rankin; David Rankin and his partner Kim Cappo; Shelly Rankin; Kelly Miley; Stacey Keetell and her husband Theo Keetell. Grandchildren: Mindett Dye and her husband Chris Dye; Chase Cawley; Cheyenne Miley; Caitlin Rankin; and Jayden Miley. Great Grandchild: Ellie Dye. Sister: Gayle Cole and her husband Rick Cole; as well as many nieces and nephews and the countless number of friends she met along the way. None of us could ever be fully prepared to say “Goodbye“ and we will long grieve the loss of such an incredible woman. Hold the ones you love a little tighter today. Tell them you love them every chance you get. If you’d like to share a thought or memory of how Janet touched your life, we would love to know. Rest In Peace Mama. The final puzzle piece is in place. We love you. Our family is in the process of making arrangements for Janet to be laid to rest. We will hold a celebration of life when we can all properly join together to share in our love and appreciation for a woman so many of us will deeply miss. In lieu of flowers, please consider a random act of kindness to benefit someone in your community, or making a donation to one of the following causes: Providence Portland Medical Foundation 4805 NE Glisan Street Portland, OR 97213 Or American Cancer Society
