Larry Gene Tuthill
July 12, 1939 - December 9, 2019
Larry G. Tuthill was born July 12, 1939, in Scotts Bluff, Neb., to Harry and Mildred Tuthill. He passed away Dec. 9, 2019 in Portland, at the age of 80. After attending Oregon City High School Larry went on to serve in the U.S. Army (82nd Airbornne) before becoming a Clackamas County Deputy Sheriff. He went on to continue law enforcement with the OLCC (Oregon Liquor Control Commission) until retirement. He retired in 1994 and traveled as much as possible. He also loved to fish and attend football games with his brothers. Larry was well known at most of the local restaurants as eating out was one of his social pleasures. Larry is survived by a daughter, Terri Ross (Merle); four stepsons, Mark Haller, Matthew Haller (Stacey), Mitchell Haller and Martin Haller (Kim); four sibilings, Dorothy Rinn (Curtis), Vernon Tuthill (Bette), Robert Tuthill (Carole) and Jim Tuthill (Sheila); four grandchildren, Brandon Watkins, Mari Conlin, Levi Thomas, Garrett Ross; step-grandchildren, Karen Haller, Amy Haller, Marty J. Haller, Kayley Haller and Morgan Ellis; as well as numerous great-grandchildren; and other family members. Larry was preceded in death by his wife, Beth Tuthill, just over a year ago; his daughter Tammy Watkins; his Grandson Michael Watkins; his sister Virginia Tuthill and his two Brothers David Tuthill and Allan Tuthill. There will be a Honor Guard, celebration of life and reception at 1 p.m., Jan. 9, 2020, at Hillside Chapel in Oregon City, 1306 7th St., Oregon City, OR. 97045. Larry was loved by many and will be greatly missed by all.
