Sharon Lyn Alexander
April 1, 1946 - February 7, 2021
Sharon Lyn Alexander was born April 1, 1946 in Oklahoma to George and Mary Delk. She met Kenny at age 13 not knowing he would be the love of her life. She graduated from Dominguez High School in 1964 and a year later she started building her family once she married Kenny on February 6, 1965. They ended up having 3 beautiful children Greg, Steve, and Kara. It’s so hard to comprehend that she is gone and will be gone forever and will only be in our hearts and in our memories. But Heaven is rejoicing, a beautiful new angel among them now! And Sharon is once again with her Kenny, the love of her life and with the Lord she loved so dearly. She had an amazing day the evening of her passing. She was surrounded by all her children, joking with the family over Super Bowl predictions. She watched the game, enjoyed a good dinner knowing radiation was to start again the next day, then went to her room to rest. Her breathing became labored, so they called 911. When the ambulance took her away, in the typical Sharon style, she was smiling and reassuring the family she would be okay, they would probably bring her right back. Her heart stopped at the hospital. They did CPR for close to 30 minutes but were unable to revive her, determining it was a blood clot that went into her lungs. The emptiness and heartache we have for her loss is coupled with the joy we have knowing she is at peace; she is with her beloved Kenny and with her Lord. I’m crying with tears of sadness for us and smiling at the same time, knowing she is now at home forever. Sharon was ready to go, knowing she on borrowed time with the cancer but most off all thankful for the wonderful life she has had. She counted her blessings every day and Gods love shined through her examples of living life in a meaningful way, every day. It is so hard when God takes those we love. We question why, when she was such a light to the world, then again, we smile, knowing that she is surrounded in peace and love, with no pain or anxiety. Sharon was one of Gods greatest treasures and will now be smiling down on us. May Gods love and his blessings be with you, as you too mourn our loss. Things that Sharon was known for: She was always utilizing coupons to find every discount possible. (Don't worry Mom, we even received a discount for your funeral as well.) She was SO giving: A hug A smile A piece of candy Encouraging Words She was a great listener and gave great advise (mostly because she would always be on your side) :) People would actually hesitate to mention an idea or something that needed to get accomplished because she (with her energy) would act so fast your head would spin. She would always look at the joys of her life her Grands and Greatgrands each night before bed. She gave 110% to anything she did. She tried her very best and was very successful at not missing anyone's Birthday, Celebration, or Sporting events. She truly was an amazing woman, wife, mom, grandma, great grandma, and friend. https://docs.google.com/presentation/d/e/2PACX-1vR7Lc4x56tYOj5OnGhgWw2iSN98MXfpmcUVdQvlXA17ZuJ3HVdTds_juHJ_S5eWiAxB9qs9i3Wi0Rhg/pub?start=true&loop=true&delayms=15000 https://youtu.be/qil-QGFh7D4
