Aldean was born in Washington and was the oldest of 4 children. Grew up in Pittsburg. She was married to Aaron Rasmussen for 49 years.
The Rasmussen's built their home on Nixon Avenue in 1959 where they lived together for the rest of their lives. They had a son (Leif) shortly afterwards (1961). Aldean was very proud of her son. They are so much alike. Strong and furiously independent with a good sense of business and sees the humor in life.

Nixon Ave neighbors are a very close group. They even had a pet Turkey from OMSI. They raised it and took care of it like it was family. At night the turkey would jump on Aldean's house above her bedroom. Kept her company for many year's.

Aldean had a unique style with bi-level haircut, large jewelry, classic wardrobe and those big tiger striped Italian glass frames. Creative in so many ways. One year she attended the office Halloween party as the Jolly Green Giant.

Aldean was well admired by those she knew. She always said thank you and very appreciative. Never complained about anything. Aldean's favorite quote was "We laughed a lot"! She was a good friend and kind to all.

She loved –
• Her husband Aaron of 49 years – Dancing together again in heaven!
• Her son Leif
• Sisters Joan and Evie and her brother Marshall and all their family.
• Water skiing and floating on the Willamette River. Aldean even was water skiing when she was pregnant with her son Leif.
• Gardening and maintaining her yard.
• Playing Bridge & attending exercise classes up at the Senior Center
• Crows and Geese in her yard
• Trips to Switzerland, Spain, Boat Cruise on the Mississippi River, Mexico, Europe, Hawaii, New York after 911, New Orleans and China. Joining her on these many adventures was Helen Wirtz, family and friends.
• Razzy, the cat, that was her companion for over 16 years. The cat stayed with her to the very end.
• Her home – looking out on the Willamette River. Where she rested peacefully in her last days

• Blue Berry Pancakes
• Dungeons Crab & Shrimp
• Old Crow
• Manhattan's with her friends during any holiday
• Later switch to Chardonnay with a frozen grape – Claudia's idea.
• Going out to dinner with her friends
