Obituary

On September 21st, 2016, we all lost a man who was larger than life. Dr. Andrew Arthur Moschogianis was born October 9th, 1951 to Peter and Adelaide Moschogianis in Bermuda. He is survived by his loving wife, Zina and her son Patrick; his brother, Peter Moschogianis; sister Christine Moschogianis; children from 2 marriages, Alcyon Amato (Mill Creek, WA), Laurel Gilmore (Everett, WA) and Chad Hortsch (San Marcos, TX); grandchildren Walter, Orrin and Archer Gilmore and Dorian Hortsch. He was a devoted and loving father who took caring for others very seriously – and excelled at it. He was a hobby farmer, loved the Blazers and hated salmon fishing.

Andy graduated at the top of his class in 1973 from the University of Illinois Dental School. He enjoyed a long career at Kaiser Permanente Dental Associates. While there he touched many lives, both personally and professionally. If he were to be asked about the high points of his life, he would say his wife, his career and his children… Let's not forget the vanquishing of the garbage burner, something he counted as a major victory.

Andy was a very private person who shared little. I hope this small excerpt brings peace to his memory and all those who were touched by him.

A "Festival of Remembrance" will be held at our home October 22nd, 2016 from 1 to 4 pm., celebrating his Greek heritage with food and spirits. It will be outside in a covered area, and shoes are recommended for walking on sand. Please come and share memories. For address info, or to RSVP please email Zina at zinat@comcast.net .
