Anna (Ann) Marie Monte passed away, peacefully, on the morning of September 8, 2016 at the age of 69.
Ann was born in Oregon City, Oregon on May 15, 1947 to Irvin Riley and Bernice Mately Riley. She graduated from West Linn High School in 1965. Ann worked as a Judicial Assistant, but according to her "nothing but a secretary", for Federal Judges' Brown and Kanter.
Ann lived most of her life in the Gladstone community, in the same house that she and Pat spent many hours remodeling. Ann could often be found out in the yard working on her beautiful flowers and shrubs. She lovingly tended her house plants and had a green thumb. Ann enjoyed softball and played for several years on a women's softball team with a great group of ladies. She loved to travel. Ann and Pat took several trips to the Caribbean and loved to snorkel. She loved the beach and was particularly fond of Yachats, Oregon.
Ann is preceded in death by her parents, Irvin and Bernice Riley.
Ann is lovingly remembered and survived by her sister Judith Turnridge of King City; Ervin E Riley of Waldport; her nephew John Riley of Titusville, Florida; her nieces, June M Hoard of Fort Walton Beach, Florida and Jan M Heaton of Walnut Creek, California; her step children, Hazel Monte and Kevin Fisher of Seattle, Washington, Stand and Denise Monte of Gladstone, Oregon, Teri Frigalti of Visalia, California, Renee Monte and Ward Weathers of Providence, Rhode Island, and Kandi Carlson of Gladstone; her grandchildren, Aiden MonteFisher, Owen MonteFisher, Devin Monte, Brittani Frigalti, Brenna Frigalti, JoDan Frigalti and Dannen Frigalti; and her great grandchildren Edgar Monte, Maggie Monte, and Quinn Frigalti.
The celebration of Ann's life will be held at Gladstone Community Center, 255 E. Exeter St. Gladstone, Oregon, on October 1, 2016 at 1:00 PM.
