Anne Johnson's Life

Anne Irene Taylor was born in Palo Alto, CA on June 10, 1948. She attended elementary and junior high school in Menlo Park, CA, then graduated from Menlo Atherton High School in 1967.

Along with her parents, Irene & Arthur, and brothers, Jeff & Kit, Anne lived on her grandfather's acreage in Menlo Park, CA. There she developed a love for all animals. She even had a pet lamb!

In June 1968, while volunteering at the Western Blind Rehab center at the VA hospital in Menlo Park, CA, she met her future husband Michael Walter Johnson. They married in Redwood City, CA on September 18, 1971.

Soon after they married, Anne and Mike moved up to Oregon City, Oregon. During this transition, the entire Johnson family was a great support to Anne as she began her new life away from her family. She then joined the Trinity Lutheran church where she was confirmed in 1973.

Anne and Mike's 1st son, Aaron Walter, was born on July 31st, 1977 and their 2nd son, Timothy Michael, was born on July 25th, 1982.

Anne graduated from Clackamas Community College in 1974, where she studied Human Development and Psychology. There she met Carol Cannales & Maureen Hansen, who became Anne's life-long friends.

Anne's mom Irene, sister Pat and brother Kit moved up to be with Anne and Mike in 1975. Her brother Jeff joined them in 2007.

In the 1990's, Anne attended Portland State University, majoring in Medicine. During that time, she tutored students in her home.

From 2004-2009, Anne helped care for her mother Irene, who was diagnosed with Parkinson's disease.

She was a thoughtful person who accepted people for who they were and never shut her door to anyone. She enjoyed gardening, reading/studying, traveling and spending time with her friends and family; especially her 2 sons and grandson, Riley Johnson.
