Arnold Leroy Wright (Arnie) was born January 7, 1928 in Seattle, Washington to Leroy and Hazel Wright. He had six siblings, five sisters and one brother who preceded him in death.

His family moved to Seaside in July of 1928 where he lived and later graduated from Seaside High School in 1945. Arnie served in the Army Corps and later joined the Air Force.

After briefly attending Oregon State (studying forestry) Arnie started working for the phone company as a lineman. But he didn't like heights, so he luckily moved within the company retiring in 1990 as an engineer.

Arnie married the love of his life Beverly Barnick January 23, 1956. Arnie and Bev loved to travel especially to the Oregon Coast. Arnie and Bev's favorite place was Salishan Lodge where they loved to play golf and walk the beach. He won many golf tournaments. In 1988 they bought their own beach house at Gleneden Beach and enjoyed it immensely.

Arnie was a very kind man who took care of his bedridden wife Bev for many years. His few outings were taking his dog for a walk and picking up his favorite meals from McGrath's. After Bev passed in 2014, Arnie resumed his love of woodworking with his dog Velvet by his side. Making beautiful furniture for friends & family.

Arnie will be greatly missed by his friends, family, and wonderful neighbors but, now he will finally be able to join his wife, Beverly.
