Rebecca 'Becky' Lou Stardig

Rebecca 'Becky' Lou Stardig, aged 79, of Beavercreek, Oregon, passed away peacefully on April 3rd, 2025. Born on March 7th, 1946, in Portland, Oregon, to parents Norman Audrey Sills and Margaret Lorene Middleton, Rebecca's life was marked by love, dedication, and a passion for helping others.

Rebecca was the proud owner of Metzger Tax Service, where she ran a successful tax firm in Metzger, Oregon. Her commitment to her clients and community was unwavering. She also owned Stardig Christmas Trees in Beavercreek, Oregon, bringing joy to countless families during the holiday season. Her generosity and kindness were evident in everything she did. In the winter months, she could be found making wreaths in the tree farm gift shop, handing out hot cocoa and candy canes, and flocking trees with fake white snow. Her love for the holiday season was infectious, and she brought cheer to all who visited the tree farm.

Rebecca's passion for gardening was equally remarkable. She had a huge garden filled with flowers and vegetables, and her love for flowers was unparalleled. Her garden was always a beautiful testament to her dedication and hard work.

Rebecca's heart was big; she was a mom to many, blood or not. She loved to travel, enjoying the sun and ensuring she had a perfect tan. She loved to cook and bake, and many memories were made in her kitchen with lots of friends and family.

Rebecca's hobbies included garage sailing, fishing, hunting, and canning homemade foods. She was well-known for her delicious salsa, pickles, and dilly beans. Early fall would find her kitchen bustling with tomato slicing, corn husking, and baking goodies. At Christmas time, she would go over the top with multiple Christmas trees, bows galore on presents, and helping the kids with baking and decorating cookies and gingerbread houses. Her love for her family, extended family, and friends was unwavering.

Rebecca is survived by her loving husband Robert E Posey, her children Erika Stardig, Justin Stardig, Kim Conner, Heidi Stardig Stay, and her sister Lynda Simantel. She is also survived by many grandchildren and great-grandchildren whom she loved dearly. She will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and all who knew her. Rebecca's legacy of kindness, generosity, and love will live on in the hearts of those she touched.
