With heavy hearts, we mourn the loss of Betty Reynolds, who peacefully passed away on May 18, 2023, at the age of 91. Born on September 21, 1931, in Pleasanton, Kansas, Betty's life has left an indelible mark on all who knew her.

Betty was married to her late husband, Vern Reynolds, for 65 years. Together, they navigated the joys and challenges of life in Oregon City, Oregon where they raised five wonderful children: Steve, Sharon, Stan (deceased), Sandy, and Scott.

After her children had grown, Betty found fulfillment in her work at Clackamas Community College for 25 years. Her hard work ethic and faithfulness is remembered in the community she served.

Betty thrived in the great outdoors, where she discovered immense joy in fishing alongside Vern and cherished friends. Their fishing expeditions became treasured memories, filled with laughter, friendly competition, and the shared hope of catching the biggest fish. Not to mention, a great dinner to follow with the day's catch, cooked by Betty. Together with Vern she loved the thrill of crabbing and clamming, and the simple pleasure of their Oregon Coast beach cabin. Betty also enjoyed meticulously tending her beautiful yard and garden, a testament to her love of nature.

Later in life, Betty embraced golf as a beloved pastime. Whether playing for fun with friends or watching on TV, she found joy in every swing. Sports, in all their forms, held a special place in Betty's competitive heart. She fervently supported the Portland Trail Blazers, and her knowledge of football statistics was impressive!

Betty was spirited and enjoyed a good adventure. She traveled countless times to Alaska and toured Europe and China. But Betty's true treasure in life was not what she accomplished, but who she loved: her family. Betty's 5 children, 13 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren, and one precious great-great-granddaughter remain her greatest joy and legacy.

In honor of Betty's memory, the family kindly requests that donations be made to the American Diabetes Association, an organization dedicated to fighting a cause close to her heart. Thank you for honoring Betty's life with her family.
