Robert Carns, age 86, passed away peacefully on April 9, 2023 in Oregon City, Oregon, in his home with his loving wife by his side. He was born on April 29, 1936 in Murray, Iowa to the late Emmett and Dorothy Carns.

Robert (Bob, as his friends and family called him) graduated from Murray High School in 1954 and was married to his wife Erma in 1955. Together, they embarked on a journey that took them across the country, eventually settling in Oregon in 1958. Bob followed in his father's footsteps and became a barber, working with him at Carns Barber Shop in Lake Oswego, before eventually starting his own truck driving school then later retiring as a car hauler.

Bob was preceded in death by his loving wife Erma, and his eldest daughter Kimberly.

Bob is survived by his loving wife Ann, with whom he was married in 2008. Bob is also survived by his eldest sister, Charlotte; his three daughters, Cindy, Theresa and Tena; his grandchildren Joe, Christy, David, Joshua, Heather, Sheila, Jesse, and Terra; and many great grandchildren.

Bob was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather who loved spending time with his family. He had a contagious smile and a warm heart that touched the lives of everyone he met. Bob enjoyed restoring machinery, playing card games and sharing stories with his friends and family. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
