One evening at Marks bar a man saw a woman with her Best friend shooting Darts. He could tell her smile was bright and her laugh was infectious. He was to shy to go near her he thought she was way out of his league. He asked Kelly the bartender to give her a message that he wanted to meet her. Once delivered and a date arranged she showed up with her protectors... Her Brother Tony came in first to check him out while she got off of work her best friend Karen was also there eyeing him up. Once she arrived and everyone realized this shouldn't be to bad they got to have their first date. They ditched everyone and went to high rocks bar and the rest is history. With the good and the bad they pushed through. Being Married in Reno with her older Brother Jack and his Wife Linda present along with her mom Barbara. They were blessed with one child Kelsie Jean Travis on May, 26, 1993. Brenda was so excited to be a mom and couldn't wait to hold her daughter for the first time. If Kelsie needed something Brenda was always there to nuture and guide her from adolescent to adult hood she was always near never far. She loved them fiercely with every fiber of her being.
Brenda was Diagnosed with Non-small cell lung carcinoma in 2021. Although diagnosed she did not let it define her. She went into the battle fighting for her grand babies. For more time with them and more time with her Family. She was able to keep ahead of it with her amazing team at Compass Oncology and Providence and get another 3 years 4 months with all that loved her and who she loved. Through all of this she never stopped trying to be the caretaker for everyone. One role in this life that meant the most to her. She always had to know that everyone around her had what they needed.
