Brian Andrew Pool was born into our loving family in Portland, Oregon on August 26, 1967. His life waws filled with friends, family, books, puzzles, Legos and church. He loved animals- especially cats. God endowed him with a brilliant mind; school was always easy for him.
After one semester at college, he enlisted in the U.S. Navy where he was an electrician, a sonar technician, and a plotter for missile firing. During his 9 1/2 years in the Navy, he saw most of the world, was in Japan for many years, and loved it. He learned Japanese and traveled extensively there.
For 25 years he worked as a night auditor at several local hotels. He was currently working as a cashier at Fred Meyers in Clackamas. He loved his job and friends there.
Although Brian was the worst driver in the world, he could navigate any transit system with ease. He was a kind, loyal friend, and very generous. He enjoyed puns, jokes, and making people laugh. Computers and the internet were special interests of his.
Diabetes and many health problems have plagued him for the last several years; a massive brain hemorrhage caused his death on May 20, 2026. He was an organ donor, and his liver, lungs, and other organs are helping others to live.
Brian is survived by his parents, Jim and Julie; two brothers, Michael (Debbie) and Jonathan; his dog, Barkley; and many relatives and friends. Our world has lost a very special person, and Heaven has gained a wonderful new resident. Oh, how we miss him!
