Charlene Marie Amato Nizer, age 77, resided in Oregon City for 43 years. She was born on September 29, 1941, in Portland, Oregon to Grace and Arthur Amato. She graduated from Madison High School in June of 1959 and Multnomah College with an Associates Degree in Arts in 1961. She married Harold Nizer November 17, 1962. They had three children.

Mom loved playing her guitar, fishing, camping and going on trips to the beach. Supporting her family and playing Bunco was always at the top of her list. She will be greatly missed and never forgotten.

Charlene is survived by her husband, Harold; Sister, Dorene Pfeifer; Three children; Tony, Marcie, and Chris, Seven Grandchildren; Tyler, Erica, Dean, Alicia, Megan, Valerie and Brennan, Six Great-Grandchildren; Gina, Emma, Karlee, Katelyn, Wyatt, and Trenton.

Funeral Service will be held on July 10, 2019, at St. Philip Benizi Church located off Redland Rd. in Oregon City, Oregon. Rosary will begin at 10:30 am. The funeral begins at 11:00 am. There will be a celebration of life and food reception to follow.
