Chris Thomson, 79, passed away on October 27, 2024, in Clackamas, Oregon.
Chris Thomson was born on February 12, 1945 in Almonte, ON, Canada. to Richard (Bud) Thomson and Lillian Thomson.
Chris played Varsity Football and graduated from Milwaukie High School in 1964. He went on to earn several Associates Degrees in Computer Science from Multnomah College. He started his career as a Computer Programmer Analyst and went on to work for Pendleton Woolen Mill and later the Portland Water Bureau, where he retired in 2002.
Chris married Judy Robson on Sept 8, 1976 in Portland, Oregon. Chris has 3 sons, Wayne Thomson, Timothy Thomson, & Jeremy Thomson.
Chris was best known for his love of all outdoor activities like camping, fishing hunting, rock hunting, antiquing and riding his motorcycle. He was a member of Trailsman Motorcycle club where they went on organized rides and racing.
Chris was an avid woodworker, and he mastered the craft. With the skills he learned, he was able to build the family home in Oregon City himself. Chris loved his dogs, and had several throughout his life. He would sometimes would work as a handy man to earn extra cash.
Chris also served in the Air Force during Vietnam, he was honorably discharged in 1970 at the rank of Sergeant.
Chris is survived by his wife, Judy, Sons Wayne Thomson, Timothy Thomson and Jeremy Thomson. Brothers Henry and John Thomson.
Chris is preceded in death by his parents, Richard (Bud) and Lillian Thomson, and by his brother Richard Thomson and his sister, Susan Corkum Thomson.
The service for [title] Chris Thomson will be held on May 5, 2025, at 11:00 am at Willamette National Cemetery in Portland, Oregon. It is advised to arrive no later than 10:30am.
