Corrine was born August 9, 1929 in Orient, South Dakota to Ed and Marie Wortman. She graduated from St. Mathew's grade school and Hill High in Hillsboro, OR. She earned her BS in Home Economics from Marylhurst University in Lake Oswego, OR. Corrine married the love of her life George C Nizich and and they had a daughter Nancy, and two sons, Ed and Dan. She was a mother who was active in her children's school by being a room-mother, 4H and Bluebird Leader and played the organ for the church's adult choir. At the family business, Nizich Brothers Furniture, Corrine was the bookkeeper as well as the stores designer. She was an accomplished seamstress, a gourmet cook who enjoyed entertaining, played golf, and traveled with her husband George. They were happily married for 53 years. After George's passing she moved to the family's beach house and enjoyed entertaining family and friends there until 2018.

The family requests that remembrances be sent to Holy Family Parish and School or St Vincent De Paul.
