Craig Swick, a resident of Oak Grove, Oregon passed away on July 24, 2025, after a courageous battle with pancreatic cancer. He was 76 years old.
Craig was born on March 30, 1949, to Virgil and Bertelle Swick. He grew up in the Oregon City and graduated from Oregon City High School, Class of 1967. Shortly after graduation, he began working in the mail room at United Grocers, where he dedicated 46 years of hard work and loyalty. Over the decades, Craig steadily worked his way up through the company, gaining respect, and ultimately retiring as Director of Grocery with Cash & Carry in 2013.
In 1975, he married Loma Freitag, with whom he shared 50 years of marriage.
Craig is survived by his wife, Loma Swick; his sister, Karen Fager, and his brothers Paul Swick (Alison) and Randall Swick. He leaves behind his five children: daughters Cherrie Rivera (Israel), Michelle Malone (Jason) and Shannon Smith (Joe), and sons Shawn Swick (Kelsey) and Tim Swick. He was a proud grandfather to twelve grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.
Craig will be remembered for his quiet strength, steadfast work ethic and sharp wit. He will be missed.
