Dianne Blackwell Croan was born in Portland to Grace Nichols and William (Bill) Blackwell on July 3, 1933. Her mother called her "My little firecracker."

Dianne lived her life in Portland, Happy Valley, and Amity, Oregon. She was the champion of all furry creatures.

She married Tom Croan in 1974, and he preceded her in death in 1998. Later in life Dianne reconnected with Frank Wiser who became her soulmate. He preceded her in death in 2005.

Dianne is survived by her sisters Dolores Albee of Rockaway Beach, Lucille Beighley of Portland, son Michael (Christina) of Oregon City, grandson Brent of Tigard, Blake (Michael) of San Francisco, and granddaughter Alexis (Keith) of Burley, ID, along with nieces and nephews.

The only thing Dianne loved more than all creatures great and small was family, friends and especially her grandchildren. Nobody looked more forward to the arrival of her first great grandson than her.

No service is planned because she cared about the safety of everyone. The family requests that remembrances be sent to your local county animal shelter or Esther's Pantry her favorite charity.
