Donald Anderson, 84, passed away on January 6, 2024, in Oregon City, Oregon.
Donald Anderson was born on January 17, 1939 in Bellflower, California, to Walter Richard (went by Ted) Anderson and Lydia Klemm.
Donald graduated from Artisa High School in 1957 and went on to earn a Associates Degree from Fullerton College later in 1978. He started his career as a Fire Fighter and went on to work for 29 years at the Postal Service. He worked at the Bellflower Post Office, Yorba Linda Post Office, Mission Veijo Post Office and the West Linn Post Office. In Between that he also owned a family gym for two years, Anderson Fitness and Health Club from 1977-1979.
Donald married Kaye and had 5 children; Donald Jr, Tonya Anderson (Hurt), Brian Anderson, Shawn Anderson and Mark Anderson.
They divorced in 1985 later and in 2001 he married Supavadee Palachai. She already had 4 sons that he helped raise and took in as his own; Ekachai, Phachoke, Pichan, Pichet, Geyoonsawat.
Don retired from Post Office and began working for the Clackamas County School Disctrict, maintaining the fields of all the schools. He took great pride in the fields he took care of. Later he went on the work for RoseVilla as a bus driver and after that, a Security officer where he moved to different locations.
Donald was best known for his interest in football, boxing, pigeons and movies.
Donald also served in the Army from 1958-1961.
The service for Donald Anderson was held on Tuesday Jan 23rd, at 2:30pm at Willamette National Cemetery. Memorial to follow, location and time TBD.
Donald is survived by wife Supavadee, Tonya Hurt - daughter, Mitch Hurt son in law, Roman and Henry Hurt, grandsons, and sons, Donald Jr. , Brian, Shawn, Mark and his step sons Ekachai, Phachoke, Pichan and Pichet Geyoonsawat and daughter in law Varanya Geyoonsawat.
