Don passed peacefully on June 28th, 2024. He was surrounded by his loving family and caregivers during the last days of his life. Don was born in Huron, South Dakota.

Don is survived by his wife, Mary Lewallen, Sister, Dorothy Milberger, Daughters Donna Hunter, Jeanne Heminway, Nancy Schoenwald, Terry Clift, Linda Sue Counts, Christie Holiday, Sons Kelly Lewallen, Sydney West and Grandson Mark Lewallen Jr. He also had many grandchildren and great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his son Mark Lewallen Sr, and daughter Gaye.

Don retired from Immer & Oswald Automotive where he worked as a mechanic shop foreman. He enjoyed doing auto mechanics, flying his airplane, and camping. He went on several cruises and many camping trips in many national parks and Canada with Mary. He also volunteered at BUCC doing whatever he was asked to do. He was a member of the Herring Family Band playing a bass guitar.
