Donna Jean Davis, a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother passed away at the age of 88 on October 24, 2019.
Donna was born March 11, 1931, in Altadena, CA to David Leslie and
Wilma Lucille Daggett. While attending Oregon State University, she met
the love of her life, Dale Allen Davis, whom she married in Portland,
Oregon on June 9, 1951. They moved to Oregon City in 1954, where she
has resided since that time.
Donna was a talented knitter and quilter. She hand-spun and carded wool
straight from the sheep, fashioning it into items to keep her beloved family
warm for years. All family members possess beautiful quilts Donna has
made over the years as well. She had a love of gardening and spent many
happy hours in her greenhouse.
Donna is survived by her daughter, Debbie of West Linn OR, her son Doug
(Janet) of Clatskanie OR, and her son Daryl (Christa), of Roseburg OR, five
grandchildren, Wesley, Joshua (Ava), Molly, Kelsey (Eric), and McKenzie
(Mitch), and three great-granddaughters; Caitlyn, Eleanor, and Madelyn.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Dale and her brother, R.
Richard Daggett.
A private internment has been held at Mountain View Cemetery in Oregon
City, OR.
