In loving memory of Donna Jean Maxson, 85, of Oregon City, who passed away peacefully on Thursday, February 22, 2024 at her home. She was born April 2, 1938 in Boulder, Colorado to Burton and Winifred Barnes. Donna was raised in Milwaukie, Oregon and graduated from Milwaukie High School. On August 9, 1958 she married Wilbur Maxson in Vista California where he was stationed with the U.S. Marine Corps. They were married for 64 wonderful years.

Donna loved being a mom and raising 3 children. When she wasn't taking care of the household, Donna would show off her amazing sense of style. Every outfit she wore had coordinating jewelry, shoes, belts, and purses. She was always dressed to the nines! She was an oil painter and enjoyed sharing her artwork with friends and family.

Donna is survived by her daughter, Connie Willmon, daughter and son-in-law Kathy and Jeffrey Boeckel, son Ken Maxson, sister Pat Harris, as well as one grandchild, Cayden Boeckel. She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, her brother, Burton Barnes Jr., and her son-in-law Dok Willmon. She will be greatly missed but we know she is dancing with Wilbur once again!

A memorial will be held at Willamette National Cemetery on Friday, March 22nd at 1:30 pm. A Celebration of Life will be held immediately following at her home.
