Dorthy Fowler
Devoted Wife and Mother
April 18, 1919 – November 26, 2016

Dorthy Fowler was born April 18, 1919 in Del Rio, Douglas County, Washington to John Robert and Lula Jane (Floyd) Brown. She was the youngest of 10 children; Gayell Brown, Orvel Brown, Oma Pearl Brown, John Brown, Cletus Lemuel Brown, Kenneth Brown, Violet Brown, Bessy Viola Brown, and Delora Brown, her twin sister.

Dorthy grew up and graduated from high school in Plummer, Idaho. She married Lawrence Richard Fowler on July 17, 1937, and in 1941 they moved to Little Rock, Arkansas to spend time with Larry's family. In the spring of 1943 they moved to Portland, Oregon, eventually settling in North Portland. In 1958 they move to Southeast Portland, and in 1966 they moved to a home with property near Oregon City.

Dorthy and her husband Larry had two children, Wanda and Deloris. Dorthy enjoyed Gardening at home, fishing and hunting with her immediate family, as well as spending time on the beach in Lincoln City, OR with family and friends. From the 60's to the late 80's they raised and trained racehorses, and they had a number of winning entries over the years. Dorthy was a devoted Jehovah Witness for more than 50 years.

Dorthy is survived by her daughters, Deloris DeVall and Wanda White; grandchildren Lisa, Laura, Larry and Myndy; great grandchildren Megan, Eean, Riley, and Evan, and 1 great great grandchild, Kaitlynn.

Those who lived in the lord never see each other for the last time. She will be greatly missed.
