Obituary

Elizabeth June Warnock, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and friend, passed away peacefully on July 10, 2026, at the age of 94.

Born in Norton, Kansas in 1931, June was raised in Newberg, Oregon. She grew up with a strong sense of faith, family and resilience that remained with her throughout her life.

June graduated from Newberg High School in 1950 and attended Northwest Christian College in Eugene, OR graduating in 1955. While in high school, June met a special fellow at Winema Christian Camp and married the love of her life, James (Jim) Warnock, on September 14, 1956. Together they built a life centered on love, faith and family. Their marriage of almost 70 years was a testament to enduring devotion and commitment.

Jim's military career in the Air Force took June and Jim all over the United States, spending time in Idaho, Texas, Indiana and Arkansas before settling back home in Milwaukie. An important part of June's life was her faith and devotion to her Savior, Jesus Christ. Wherever the Air Force took the family, they were involved in the local Christian Church. June loved singing in the church choir, teaching Sunday school and volunteering in women's ministries. After returning to Milwaukie, she served as the secretary at Oregon City Christian Church for 22 years until her retirement.

June is survived by her loving husband of 69 years, Jim Warnock. She is also survived by her daughter, Jeri (Alan) Croucher and her son, Jim Warnock Jr., her grandchildren, Lauren (Shane) Copenhagen, Cameron (Naomi) Croucher, Elizabeth McVey and one great grandchild.

June was preceded in death by her parents James and Lola Jackson, brothers Gene and Charles Jackson and sister Marilyn Bergstrom.

A celebration of life will be held on Friday, August 21, 2026 at 2:00 pm at Oregon City Christian Church 1179 South End Rd. Oregon City. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests a gift in memory of June Warnock to Winema Christian Camp's Scholarship Fund. Winema Christian Camp 5195 Winema Rd. Coverdale, OR 97112.

Though she will be deeply missed, June will be remembered for her warm heart, gentle spirit, and unwavering love for those around her. She had a gift for making others feel welcome and cared for, and her kindness touched the lives of family, friends, and all who knew her.
