Evelyn Ruth Johnson passed away peacefully and in comfort in her residence at Avamere Berry Park in Oregon City on February 18,2022. Evelyn was born in Toppenish, Washington on March 25, 1924, to Anna and Carl Johnson.
She worked for Reddaway's Truck line from 1947 to retirement in 1988.
She was never married but was close to her brother Art & Leona Johnson's four children: Karen, Patricia, Scott, and Steven.
She and her longtime friend Irmagard Margi took many trips together to Australia, New Zealand, Greece, Fiji and Europe.
Evelyn had the best-looking yard in Gladstone. One of Evelyn's greatest loves was for her family, and she spent as much time as possible, beach trips, hiking she was loved by all who met her.
The family would like to thank Kindred Hospice and her 24 hour caregivers Brianna, Shantee, Kristen, Jocelyn , Lashay, Ethan & Tanner. She loved them all. We are also grateful to Avamere Berry Park for their compassionate care for Evelyn, everyone there were loved and appreciated.
