Fred lived in Oregon City, Oregon for 60 plus years until his sudden death on October 10, 2021, he was 81 years old.
Fred was born on August 14, 1940, in Johnson County, Missouri.
Fred was born to Carl David and Bessie Magnolia Willmon and grew up working on the family farm and moving water pipes with his brother for the neighboring farms. In 1958, after graduating High School, he enlisted in the United States Navy during the Vietnam War where he served 2 tours off the coast of Guam. After his tour of duty was over, he moved to Portland, Oregon, then on to Oregon City in 1973.
Fred took his military training in Refrigeration/Appliance/HVAC from the Navy and became one of most well-known Technicians in the Portland Metro area.
In 1988 he met Connie Maxson, they married in April 1990. They spent the next 31 ½ years together traveling and remodeling their home.
Fred loved wood working, old cars, trains and was very passionate about History.
Fred was proceeded in death by his parents, Carl and Bessie Willmon, his sisters Mae Ponder and Kathryn Willmon, brothers Carl Willmon Jr, John Willmon, David Willmon, and Chester Willmon.
Fred leaves behind his wife Connie of 31 years, a daughter Renea (Tony), Sons Lance (Naomy) and Troy (Dee), six grandchildren Melysa, Mysti, Tarra, Brian, Colton, Alexis, five great-grandchildren Devon, Taylor, Areia, Aubri, and Octavia Rose. He also leaves behind a sister Norma Huston of Nevada, Missouri, numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews.
An open house celebration of life will be held from 12pm-5pm on October 23, 2021 at their home 19131 S South End Rd, Oregon City, Oregon 97045.
