Glenda was Born Feb 21, 1940, in Avis, New Mexico. She passed on her 86th birthday, (despite insisting she was 29 for over 20 years). She had to give that up after her oldest surpassed her in age. She died of natural causes on Feb 21, 2026, in Oregon City, Oregon. She married her husband Donald Ray Franke in 1957 and had 5 children. Glenda loved to watch her kids and grandkids play sports. She was an avid reader and loved to crochet. She loved her beloved Dallas Cowboys through many ups and downs. Even though many of her kids would try to pull her over to their favorite teams, she remained faithful to them and would not budge. Glenda worked and retired from K-Mart in Klamath Falls. For many years she would have a New Years Day homemade chili feed with sausages and pepperoni, feeding an average of 20-30 people.

Glenda will be missed by her family, including her daughters Diana Krieger of Gresham, OR, Denise Guscette and husband Rick of Oregon City, OR, son Glen Franke of Portland, OR and son-in-law, Faron Snell of Klamath Falls, OR, sisters Betty Thorp of Midland, TX, Charlotte Smith of Coahoma,TX, and brother RH Smith and wife Lyndia of Tyler, TX, 8 grandchildren, and 14 great grandchildren.

Glenda is preceded in death by her parents, RW and Katherine (Tanner) Smith, daughters, Donna Snell, and Debbra Franke, and sisters, Clara Smith and Bonnie Sue Smith.
