Gordon Kent Price was born in Lincoln, Nebraska on 7 June 1957, to John and Larene Price. He was called 'Kent' by his friends and family. He joined older brothers John, Steve, and Joe in the family. They were later joined by Bob and Wendy.
They moved to Virginia, Oklahoma, and North Dakota. He graduated from high school in North Dakota. He attended Ricks College and Brigham Young University.
He served a mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in the Japan Sendai Mission from 1977-1979.
He came back to BYU and met Cindy Machen at a ward non-preferred –preference activity. They dated, were engaged, and married in the Idaho Falls Temple on 23 August 1980.
Their family grew with some wonderful and amazing children. Nathaniel came first in 1981, followed by Allison in 1984. Oliver joined the family in 1990 and Phillip completed the family in 1996.
Kent became a computer network engineer and enjoyed technical things ever since he took an electronics class in high school and built his own radio.
Kent also enjoyed science fiction beginning with Rick Brandt books and Star Trek in his youth. This expanded to Star Wars, Lord of the Rings, and Harry Potter in his adult life.
He liked reading history, especially WWII and Civil War books.
The loves of his life were the Lord, his wife, and his four wonderful children, a very special son-in-law, Rob Freestone, and grandchildren Hyrum and Heidi.
