Harry W. Grant
August 2nd, 1944 – February 27, 2025
Harry W. Grant, 80, of Clackamas, Oregon, passed away peacefully on February 27th, 2025. A devoted family man, skilled craftsman, and true road warrior, he spent much of his life behind the wheel as a long-haul truck driver. The open highway was his second home, and he took pride in the miles he traveled, the places he saw, and the friendships he made along the way.
When he wasn't on the road, you could find him in the garage, bringing old cars back to life with patience and dedication. His pride and joy were his beautifully restored red 1951 Ford pickup and his 1964 Fairlane—symbols of his passion for classic cars. He loved nothing more than taking them to car shows, swapping stories with fellow enthusiasts, and attending Hot August Nights, where he could admire the craftsmanship of the past and share his own work with others.
Above all, Harry was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather and friend who worked hard to provide for his family. He had a heart as big as the open road, a knack for fixing anything, and a way of making everyone feel like an old friend.
He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Brenda Grant; his children Velvet Gibson, Joy Erickson, and Dwayne Grant; his 5 grandchildren, and his 12 great grandchildren, who will always cherish the lessons he taught, the love he shared, and the sound of a well-tuned engine in his honor.
A celebration of his life will be held at The Springs at Clackamas Woods at 2:00 pm on March 29th, 2025. It will be held in the Activity Room.
