"I have experienced a full and exciting life, nothing can compare with flying helicopters."
Beloved father, grandfather and brother passed away after a brief illness. Jim was born
and raised in the Pacific Northwest. He was a golden gloves boxer in his late teens, served
our country for 33 years in the Army, completed two tours of Vietnam as a helicopter pilot
earning the distinguished flying cross award- but most importantly he was the father of
three girls. He loved extra hot coffee, running, boxing, the Oregon Ducks, Powell's Book
Store and fast cars. We will miss his dry humor and hearty laugh.
He is survived by his sister Jan Snyder of Vancouver, WA, and three daughters Jessica Pyne of Portland, OR (Brian Landon), Amy Schrandt of Boise, ID (Nate Schrandt) and Lisa Schofield of Bend, OR (Taylor Schofield), Grandchildren Jackson and Lucille Schrandt, Maxine and Loretta Schofield and his newest granddaughter Maryn Landon.
Fly free and rest easy Dad.
