Jared Raymond O'Brien passed away unexpectedly in his Oregon City home on February 5, 2022 at the age of 39. Although he was taken from us so young he had a loving heart and gave us memories filled with laughter and his unforgettable smile.
Jared was born on July 30, 1982 in Portland, Oregon to Peggy L. O'Brien (Pederson) and Jeffrey E. O'Brien. To know him was to love him and so many did. He was someone you could always lean on, loyal, would give you the shirt off his back, and always made you feel like you were his best friend.
Jared worked hard. He worked hard at having fun and enjoying life in his late teens. Roofing worked him hard. Being the owner of Urban City Hydroponics and Simply Sewers was work, too much work. Employed at Pacific Mechanical he learned that it is not really work if you enjoy what you are doing.
He enjoyed hunting, fishing, crabbing, boating, skiing, 4 wheeling, and camping; vacationing in Hawaii, Reno, and Vegas; and driving down country roads on his motorcycle. His greatest role was being an Uncle to Makiah, Brantley and Lane.
Jared is survived by his mother Peggy, his father Jeffrey, his step mother Colleen, his brother Wade, his step-brother Andrew, his sister-in-law Harmony, his grandmother "Granny", a niece Makiah, nephews Brantley and Lane, aunts, uncles, cousins, and extended family members.
The family asks that you share your memories and photos on the tribute wall.
