Jerie Brickner, 85, of Charbonneau in Wilsonville passed peacefully in his sleep on Saturday April 7, 2018 of natural causes.
Jerie was born to Ernest and Hildur Brickner on May 20, 1932 in Minneapolis, MN. Both parents and brother Thomas preceeded him in death. His mother immigrated from Norway as a young girl. Jerie was very proud of his Norwegian heritage.
Jerie graduated from the University of Minnesota with a BA in Economics and married Clarice Anderson April 16,1955. He served in the USAF from 1955-58, then spent 35 years with the 3M Company. He always enjoyed being with family and friends, golfing, fishing, woodworking and traveling with Clary were favorites among his many pastimes. After he retired he spent 15 years volunteering as a tour guide at Evergreen Aviation and Space Museum. A storyteller by nature, always with a new joke to share or sweet comment to give, he kept people laughing until the end, he will be missed by many.
He is survived by his loving wife Clary, daughters Amy (Jeff Moore), Susie (Mike Caster); son Marty Brickner (Judith), 8 grandchildren, Michelle Nishimura, Kevin and Krissy Moore, Lauren Braun, Steve and Griffin Caster, Jenna and Allie Brickner and 2 great grandchildren, Bailey Rose Nishimura and Baby Boy Braun, still in the oven.
If you'd like to make a donation, in lieu of flowers the family has chosen Evergreen Aviation and Space Museum, where donations support their education programs.
