Obituary

Joanne Elizabeth Meyer
April 8, 1954, to December 26, 2020

She was 66 years old, 8 months, and 18 days.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Sylvester, and Wilma Bennett.
She graduated from Oregon City High School and married her High school sweetheart, Clint Meyer, on September 22, 1972. She loved her family, her horse, and being with people.
She was a part of the Clackamas County Deputy Sheriff Reserves, where she retired in 1998 as a Lieutenant Sheriff Deputy.
She served as Vice President of the Military Vehicle Collection Club. She loved the Club and the Club loved her. She loved to drive the 1972 and a half and loved her 1 ½ ton 1943 Military Truck.
Joanne always gave 150% and asked for nothing in return.
Through the years she worked as a waitress at Chris' Café in Oregon City and cooked for Oregon City High School for a bit as well. She loved to garden and tinker on Jeeps and other equipment. In her later years, she had an embroidery business and loved to be creative with the designs.
She served with the youth at Oregon City Christian Church when she was able.
She is survived by her husband, Clint Meyer; her boys; Kelly and Michael; 5 grandkids, and 2 great-grandkids. Her brother, Larry Bennett, and Her sister, Maria Skroch.
Any donations should be sent to the Franz Center at Portland Providence so as Joanne said, "maybe it will help somebody to not go through what I did."
Joanne was a strong believer in Jesus all the way to the end. She was never afraid to die.
She is no longer here on earth but, she is in good hands with Jesus and she will never be forgotten.
