John Morris Fox son of Mary and Morris Fox was born in Oregon City August 13th, 1946. He went to meet his Lord Saturday, August 22, 2020. Known as Jack to friends and loved ones he is survived by Kathy, his wife of 44 years, children Becky Fox, Jim Fox (wife Marci and children Gabrielle and Alaric), David Fox (wife Kelsey and son Tyler), and Jonathan (wife Breanna), sister Pam Fox-Collis, brother Tim Fox and a large extended family.

He attended grade school at Saint John the Apostle school, and graduated from Oregon City High School in 1964. He earned his BA in Business from Portland State University. He served in the United States Army in Vietnam from 1968 to 1969.

Jack was a great family man. He was a spectator at many of his kid's sporting events; soccer, swimming, and baseball. Jack believed that your heritage was important and he was a student of family history and genealogy. He was proud of his heritage from France, Switzerland, and Ireland, and a trip to meet relatives in Europe was a highlight. Jack and his family hosted many exchange students from around the world.

Jack loved to be involved in service projects for others both here and around the world. He went on mission trips to El Salvador, Ivory Coast, Guatemala, Venezuela, and Latvia sharing his building skills. He loved participating with his church family in the wider Christian world and celebrating Jesus. Fellowship at Gladstone Baptist Church was very important to him as well as going to Camp Tadmor. He looked forward to going to Camp Good News summer camp every year.

Jack was very adventurous and always on the go. He scaled several mountains; (Rainier, Hood, Shasta, South Sister, St. Helens, and Adams). He loved to travel and took his family on road trips around North America. He loved camping, hiking, hunting, snowmobiling, and river sports. Jack loved working with trees, climbing them, building tree forts in them, cutting, stacking, and heating the house with them.

Jack Fox was a friend to all he met. He remembered everyone's name and what each person was interested in.

Jack was self-employed in home building and construction and was a good businessman. He was a mentor and tried to build people up and help them accomplish above and beyond what they dreamed possible.

Jack lived life with gusto. He had a great sense of humor and an unmistakable laugh. He will be sorely missed by all.

The viewing time is at Hillside Chapel in Oregon City on Thursday, September 3rd from 4:00 to 8:00. The burial service is at noon at the Saint John the Apostle Cemetery in Oregon City.
