On Wednesday, September 26th, 2018, Kathleen "Kami" Marie Hines, loving wife and mother of
three children passed away at age 71.
Kami was born on November 5, 1946 in Spokane, WA to Delbert and Mildred (Williamson)
Emerson. She was a gifted Forensic Artist for Clackamas County Sheriffs office. She attended
various schools to learn her craft and attended the FBI academy school for Forensic Art. On
July 20th, 1965 she married Gerald "Gerry" Hines before he shipped of for tour of duty in Vietnam.
They raised 3 daughters, Kristin Marie, Teri Lynn, and Amy Renee.
Kami had a passion for drawing and painting. While working for the Sheriffs office, applied to go
to school and learn forensic art. In the process she became very proficient in her chosen career
path. She was very gifted in interviewing and in the process was able to draw very real sketches
of the suspect. She retired in 2003 after 20 years with the department.
Kami was preceded in death by her father, Del, and her mother, Judy. She is survived by her
husband Gerry, her three children Kris, Teri and Amy, her sister Sheri, and brother Steve and 8
grandchildren, Annelise, Melissa, Tanner, Carson, Sam, Elizabeth, Annabelle and Walter and 1
great grandson Jack. A Memorial service will be held at Community of Hope Lutheran Church,
Wilsonviille, OR
