Kenneth was born on November 23, 1938, in Alsen, North Dakota to Edna Lena (Ames) and Joseph Buntjer. He passed away on April 8, 2021, in the comfort of his home surrounded by family.
Kenneth served in the U.S. Army as a Demo Specialist and computer programmer. After the army, he worked for Arcoa and started a couple of businesses (BCSI) (CMI).
He became a pro poker player in the '80s and was one of a handful of players to ever win tournaments back-to-back to back.
He was married to Barbara Joan Coop, they had two kids Steve Buntjer and Sandy Gambee. She passed away in June 1986.
He married Loretta June Mathews and they had Kristen Randall. Loretta passed away in Oct. 2004.
Kenneth was a grandfather to Daniel Gambee, Katherine (Gambee Rogers), Nicholas Gambee, Jack Randall, and Benjamin Randall.
Service with Military Honors will be held at Willamette National Cemetery
