Kenneth L. Hunter, 86, passed away peacefully on February 3, 2026. He was born on December 21, 1939.
Kenneth proudly served his country in the United States Navy, a commitment that reflected his strong sense of duty, discipline, and love of country. His military service remained a source of quiet pride throughout his life.
Kenneth married Ruth Mae O'Neal in 1965 -1972 they lived the majority of their time together in Cody, Wyoming. Ruth and Kenneth shared three children along with her six children.
On March 23, 1973, Kenneth married Sharon Lee Hunter his loving wife of 52 years. That same year, they built a home in Beavercreek, Oregon, where they lived for many years and created a lifetime of memories together, raising their children.
Kenneth had a deep appreciation for nature and especially admired eagles for their strength, freedom, and grace. Time spent observing the outdoors brought him comfort and reflected his calm, thoughtful spirit.
Kenneth was a devoted father and a proud grandfather. He is survived by his wife, Sharon; his children; his stepchildren; his grandchildren; his great-grandchildren; his great great - grandchildren and his youngest sister Carolyn.
Kenneth will be remembered for his unwavering character, his service to his country, and his love for family and nature. Like the eagles he so deeply admired, his spirit will continue to soar in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.
