Kiahd Kiahd died of natural causes on March 8th, 2026, in Portland, Oregon at the age of 68.
Kiahd is survived by his daughter Tanna Bettle and son-in-law Brandon Bettle of Portland, Oregon; sons Sam Kiahd, Edwin Kiahd, Scott Kiahd, and daughter-in-law Kala Kiahd of Oregon City. Brothers Irwin Kiahd, Johnwin Kiahd, Wihnson Kiahd, David Kiahd, Jackson Kiahd, and Winden Kiahd and sister Karihner Anson. He is preceded in death by his parents, wife Pesirina and siblings Karly Smith, Desihner Solomon, and Karcy Lokoboj.
Kiahd was born on October 8th, 1957, in Pingelap, Micronesia to Wihn Kiahd and Sahri Kiahd (née Samson). He moved to Salem Oregon in 1977 to study at Chemeketa Community College. He married Pesrina, a childhood friend in 1980. Over the next 7 years the couple welcomed 4 children into their home. Over the years Kiahd worked for many restaurants in the Portland area. He also worked at Rinella Produce. His children remember him as a kind father who encouraged them to pursue their goals. He was an active and dedicated member of the following churches Tri-City Baptist Temple in Gladstone, Maranatha Baptist in Oregon City, and Living Hope Church in Oregon City. Over the years he worked on the Bus ministry and taught Sunday school classes.
A viewing is scheduled for March 26st, 2026 beginning at 6:00 PM at Hillside Chapel 1306 7th St, Oregon City, the gravesite service will be at Mountain View Cemetery 500 Hilda St, Oregon City on March 27th, 2026 at 1:00 PM with a memorial reception to follow at Living Hope Church 19691 Meyers Rd, Oregon City. Pastor Tim Doty will officiate the ceremony. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Kiahd's life.
