LaVonne Turner lived for the past 49 years in Oregon City, Oregon. She died on December 29, 2023 only 9 days after her 87th birthday.
LaVonne was born December 20, 1936 in Oregon City, Oregon to Harvey and Marie Richardson. She was the older sister to her brother, Harvey Richardson Jr. After high school, she married the love of her life, Jerry Turner, on May 29,1954. Together they had five children, Rod, Teresa, Rick, Wayne, and Nadine.
LaVonne held many jobs including Gerber Blades, Winkel's Grocery, Danielson's Thriftway, Oregon City School District, Bay News and Clackamas County Polls. Her free time was spent enjoying her many crafts including porcelain doll making, ceramics, crochet, macrame, and oil painting to name just a few. After perfecting her oil painting techniques, she began selling her art to many as well as teaching classes to friends in her garage. When she wasn't working on her hobbies, she enjoyed spending time with friends and family. Whether it be traveling afar, a weekend camping and fishing, a day trip to the coast, a night at the casino, or just a day at the fair, this time with friends and family is what she looked forward to for many years.
LaVonne was preceded in death by her husband, Jerry, both her parents, Marie and Harvey, her brother Harvey Jr., as well as her daughter, Teresa. She is survived by her sons Rod (Joyce), Rick, Wayne (Debbie), and daughter Nadine (Dean), as well as nine grandchildren Tamara, Teresa, Chris, Mackenzie, Abbi, DJ, Whitney, Courtney, and Shelby.
