Lynda Ann Cone-Hart, 74, passed away at her home in Oregon City, Oregon on January 17, 2025, after a long cancer battle in the care of her soul mate of 37 years, Farley Flynn.
Lynda Cone-Hart was born on July 25, 1950 in Klamath Falls, Oregon, to James "Franklin" Cone and Elizabeth "Liz" Cone. Lynda grew up in Klamath Falls, and made lifelong school friends along the way. After graduating from Klamath Union, Lynda moved to the Portland area, put herself through college, earning a Bachelor's Degree from Portland State University in 1991, and became an accomplished cost accountant. She enjoyed her career as an accountant and went on to work for Beall Pipe and Tank, Proto/Stanley Tools and then retiring from Cornell Pump, during her 40 years in the industrial and manufacturing industry.
Lynda was married to Leon Hart, but the marriage did not survive the death of their infant son, Gregory. Lynda is preceded in death by James "Franklin" Cone Sr. - father, Elizabeth "Liz" Cone-Chastain - mother, James Cone Jr. - brother and Gregory Allen Hart - son.
Lynda was best known for her love of cats, travel, reading, cats, quilting and more cats.
Lynda is survived by Farley Flynn, one surviving aunt and a host of cousins on the Cone side of her family, along with her maternal extended family in Austria, her God-children Mellisa (Allen) Case and Brad Allen, and many dear friends.
A Memorial Service for Lynda Cone-Hart will be held on Tuesday 2/4/2025, at 2:00 pm at the Hillside Chapel in Oregon City.
A Second Celebration of Life and Burial will take place on Wednesday, 2/12/2025 at 12:00 pm at Klamath Memorial Park in Klamath Falls, Oregon.
