Margaret was born to Vinton and Thelma Copeland in Kelso, Washington. After spending a few years living on the Toutle River at the base of Mt. St. Helens, her family moved to Portland, Oregon.



She married Ervin Jarvis on September 25, 1949 and they spent many years together in Vancouver, WA and then the Seattle area where she worked for and then retired from AT&T. Ervin preceded her in death in 2003 after which she moved back to the Portland area to be near family. Margaret was an avid bowler for all of her adult life, always chasing the perfect game and trying to corral her wicked curve.



Preceded in death by her daughter Sandra Lee, she is survived by her children, sons Michael and Rodney Jarvis, daughter Valerie Shewell, six grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren and by her sister, Betty Farrell.



A Funeral Service will be held on Friday, August 5, 2011 at 1PM in Hillside Chapel in Oregon City. She will be laid to rest next to her husband in Washington Memorial Park in SeaTac, Washington on Saturday August 6, 2011.
