Monika Ingrid Weddle of Oregon City, Oregon passed away on October 15, 2022 at the age of 78. She was born November 3, 1943 in Konigsberg, Germany to Robert and Eva Fischer. She spent her early years growing up in Stuttgart, Germany until moving to the United States in 1970.
She married John Weddle and moved to Oregon in 1970. They shared 32 years of marriage before divorcing in 2003.
She is preceded in death by her father Robert Fischer, mother Eva Fischer, brothers Karl Bernd, Hans-Jurgen and sister Helga (Roos).
She is survived by her five children, Siggi Adam, Stuttgart, Germany, Gunther Adam (Chele), Oregon City, Dagmar Fischer, Oregon City, Diana Fischer, Oregon City, Marion Smith (Kevin), Oregon City. Her four grandchildren Logan Adam, Luca Adam, Tanner Smith and Tylee Smith. Her sisters Petra Webb and Karin Penndorf.
Monika's greatest joy in life were her children and grandchildren. She was an amazing cook and could always be counted on for "cooking for an army". She has always been known for being feisty, stubborn and strong-willed.
Monika was loved by many and adored by all. She will be deeply missed by her family that loved her dearly.
At Monika's request, there will be no services. Her children and grandchildren will gather at her favorite place on the Oregon Coast to celebrate her life.
