Nancy Rose Groff passed away in her home in Oregon City on Monday December 26, 2016 from natural causes.
Nancy was born July 20, 1936 in Portland, Oregon to John & Rosa Yaun. She graduated from Sherwood high school in 1953. At just 17 years old, Nancy met and fell in love with Billy Lee Groff of West Linn. They married in 1954 and moved to Oregon City shortly after.
Nancy spent most of her working career as owner of her own janitorial business. She was well known for her wonderful and quick witted sense of humor, her knack for turning any variation of ingredients into a delicious meal, and her incredible love of animals. She enjoyed spending time with her family, which consisted of spoiling her seventeen grandchildren and twenty great-grandchildren, as well as the many others she became mom or grandma to throughout her life. Nancy was a member of Zion Lutheran Church. In recent years, she enjoyed spending her time attending a small bible study with her closest friends.
Nancy above anything was a light to anyone she met. She will be deeply missed by those who had the privilege of knowing her.
Nancy is survived by her four children; Lee, Rose, Nancy, and Billy as well as, her seventeen grandchildren, twenty great grandchildren, and four beloved fur babies Scrappy, Trinity, Grumpy, and Bear. She was preceded in death by her husband Billy L. Groff in January, 2000.
