Orville was born March 10, 1925, in Claremont, South Dakota to Clarence and Edith Buffington. He joined the Army in 1944 and fought in WWII, He served in the 90th division and was an SGT. He was proud to have served his county. After WWII he moved to Oregon. Orville joined the national guard and he served 17 years. Orville ended up retiring from the Post Office where he worked as a clerk for many years. Orville loved to golf and dance.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Stefania, and survived by; his sister Virginia Pulfrey of South Dakota, his sons Michael, Stanley, and James Buffington, Daughter Marcia Buffington, many grandkids, and great-grandkids.
He will be greatly missed.
