W. Ramey Danielson beloved husband, sibling, father, grandfather, and amazing friend passed quietly on July 12, 2026 at home; succumbing to a glioblastoma that was discovered on Christmas Eve, 2025. Ramey, as he is known to all, was born in Champaign, IL. In adulthood Ramey lived in New York City, Indianapolis, Denver, Colorado Springs and Lake Oswego

Ramey moved to the Lake Oswego area in 1988 from Colorado Springs, CO. He retired from DocuMart Copies and Printing in August of 2021. In retirement Ramey and his wife, and partner in all things, began traveling to all the places they had talked about going but didn't have the time for while working.

Ramey had a way of making everyone he met feel seen, heard, and cared for. He shared his passion for life with those he partnered with on the pickleball court, dance floor and golf course, as well as those he met while traveling. He was always willing to lend a hand to anyone in need of a little help. He offered encouragement and mentorship to those just starting out in business whether it be to selling printing or starting their own business endeavors. He was welcoming and encouraging to those just learning to ballroom or west coast swing dance, or stepping onto a pickleball court as a new player just wanting to see what the fuss was all about.

Ramey is survived by his partner of 32 yrs, Stefanie; his siblings, Fritz, Jason, and Elizabeth; his son Lucas Danielson, daughter Katja Reid, estranged son Ryan Danielson and granddaughter Aria Reid; as well as his nieces Rachel, Sarah and Kathryn and nephew Todd their spouses and four great-nieces and two great-nephews. His children, nieces and nephew were all a source of pride and great joy for each achievement they attained. No one was a bigger cheerleader in encouraging each of them to reach for their goals and dreams. Ramey's presence will be missed in many ways.

A celebration of life is planned for September 12, 2026 from 3pm-5pm at Dance with Joy studio 8051 SE 16th Ave., Portland, OR 97202. In lieu of flower or cards the family asks that you make a donation to My Father's House ( https://familyshelter.org/ ) in Ramey's name to help support those that simply need a helping hand.
