Richard Donald Kanowske was born 8/17/1946 in Chicago,IL. he died on 12/8/2024 at the age of 78 at his residence in Gladstone, OR. from a long battle with Parkinson's disease. He is survived by his loving wife Hong Lan Kanowske, his older brother Robert A. Kanowske and wife Gabrielle. As well as his three children Richard D. Kanowske Jr, Kenneth A. Kanowske and wife Enedina (Ene) Kanowske, daughter Cynthia Kanowske Watson. Richards memory lives on in his 3 children, 8 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren. Richard proudly graduated the prestigious school of Lane Tech college preparatory high School to become an engineer. He continued higher education throughout his life. He loved photography, golfing, woodworking and traveling. Richard had a wonderful sense of humor & loved to laugh. He will be dearly missed by his family and friends. Services will be held on Saturday December 21, 2024, 1:00 P.M. at Hillside Chapel funeral home 1306 7th St., Oregon City, OR.

A memorial will be also held at a later date in Chicago, IL.
