Robert Franklin Puckett was born on November 4, 1935, to Vernnace M. Puckett and Malinda F. Puckett in Portland, Oregon.

Robert chose to join the Navy in 1952 and later married Barbara Ostrander in 1954. Over the years they raised five children: Theresa, Denise, Clifford, Russell, and Janice. His children then married and gave him 7 grandchildren, and the marriages and births continue to add branches to his life's tree.

Bob, as he was usually called, was a tool cutter and grinder by trade and worked for companies like Boeing, Omark Industries (now: Oregon Saw Chain), and Gerber (knives). When he retired from grinding work, he went to college to get his Associate degree in drafting that led him to work for Bonneville Power.

He enjoyed the beauty of nature with the plants, animals and birds around him. He liked traveling and camping, especially going to the beach. He enjoyed working with wood and he took pride in his yard and children.

Robert passed away at home on December 28, 2023, with family surrounding him.

He will be missed.
